Welcome to the Georgia
Fund for Technical and
Adult
Education (GFTAE) web site. Since its inception in
1989, the Georgia Fund has operated to support
Georgia's business and industry by assisting in
securing funds, equipment and other resources that
enhance the abilities of the Georgia Department of
Technical and Adult Education (DTAE), its 34 technical
colleges and 37 adult literacy areas to develop a
skilled work force.
Donations to GFTAE will be transferred directly to
technical college associate degree, diploma, and
certificate programs. Funds and other resources
contributed to GFTAE may be used to support adult
literacy services including GED preparation for adults
in every county in Georgia and GED testing in 56
locations.
GFTAE also administers statewide programs such as
the Georgia Occupation Award of Leadership program
(GOAL). GOAL is co-sponsored by DTAE, the technical
colleges and statewide business and industry
partners. Georgia Quick Start is a major economic
development incentive program that provides
customized training and services to meet specific
work force needs of local companies. GFTAE
administers funds and resources to support Quick
Start and economic development program needs.
Your gifts to GFTAE are tax deductible and will be
used effectively for the educational benefit intended.
Thank you for your interest in The Georgia Fund.
